PTMEG(Polytetramethylene Ether Glycol) 2000
1. Description
PTMEG is a range of specialty high performance polyether diols based on polytetramethylene ether glycol. PTMEG is available in different
molecular weight ranges: PTMEG 250, PTMEG 650, PTMEG 1000, PTMEG 1400, PTMEG 1800, PTMEG 2000, and PTMEG 3000. However, the most common grades of PTMEG used in the polyurethane formulations are PTMEG 1000 and PTMEG 2000. PTMEG is suitable for use in producing high performance thermoset and thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers and is also often used in polyurethane adhesives.
PTMEG is supplied as a waxy white solid, which melts to form a clear, colorless liquid over a wide temperature range near room temperature.
